Open Call – Financial Manager

Dear AEGEEans,

Do YOU think young Europeans should make more informed decisions? Do YOU think that young people should work together in order to make their voices heard? Do YOU want to be part of a highly motivated, international project team that wants to establish just this? Then WE may just be looking for YOU!

The Your Vision for EUrope project, currently consisting of 16 members, is looking a Financial Manager. The new team member must be able to integrate quickly into a highly motivated international team and will be able to not only work on his financial manager tasks but will be involved in all the decisions regarding the project’s actions. The financial manager has to keep the financial overview of the project and is in charge of approving and managing the budget of the project: (s)he prepares budgets for grant applications, supervises budgets of events in cooperation with locals, and prepares financial reports. A first budget draft is already prepared by the team. Additionally, the financial manager is part of the core team, which means that (s)he supports the work of other team members where needed, (s)he is actively involved in the general project team proceedings and attends the weekly meetings.

For this position we are looking for someone with:

  • experience in preparing budgets and financial reports
  • excel skills

The Financial Manager is expected to commit on average 10-15 hours per week to the project.

The Your Vision for EUrope project is already working on different actions. Besides preparing different workshops for NWMs, Agora and EPM, we are organizing a Facebook campaign called Faces of Europe. We will also  organize the content for the “Borderless Europe – blessing or burden”-conference in cooperation with AEGEE-Cluj-Napoca and AAFB, which will take place in May 2016.
