Dear Network,

We are glad to launch the Open Call for the Assistant Financial Director of AEGEE-Europe. We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic member who would like to work together with the Comité Directeur to improve the association from a financial point of view.

The Assistant will support the Comité Directeur to improve the financial policies and procedures and to implement the Corporate and Institutional Fundraising Strategy of AEGEE-Europe by working from the head office.

The Assistant will be living in the AEGEE House and get a reimbursement sum of 300 euro per month.

Main tasks will include:

  1. Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees
  2. Assist the financial director in creating financial reports on a regular basis
  3. Adhere to the organization financial policies and procedures
  4. Attend finance department meetings
  5. Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions

 

  1. Examine renewable partnerships of AEGEE-Europe
  2. Research for new partnerships and fundraising opportunities
  3. Support the development of partnership proposals and contracts
  4. Support the development of grant applications towards already known and unknown sources of funding (Erasmus+, European Youth Foundation, others)
  5. Identifying potential foundations as long-term donors
  6. Updating the Fundraising database of AEGEE-Europe

  1. AEGEE-Europe Financial Policies and Procedures
  2. AEGEE-Europe Initiatives and AEGEE-Europe Projects
  3. Possibilities for Fundraising for AEGEE-Europe Secretariat

 

Experience / Skills needed:

  • Integrity, Honesty and Discretion
  • Business, finance, accounting, or a related field background
  • Experience in corporate and institutional fundraising with proven record of success
  • Experience in external communication / selling AEGEE and ideas, initiatives
  • Experience in grant-writing (mention concrete examples and possible successes)
  • Good understanding of the needs of AEGEE and matching it with external resources
  • Communication skills
  • Familiarity with business principles and practices
  • Organisational, Planning and Problem-solving skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Computer skills (especially for what concerns spreadsheets and calculation softwares)
