After the highly successful survey about the European Boards' Meeting, which had 120 respondents, we invited you to share your thoughts on the content and agenda of this Agora. This time round, 236 people took up this opportunity and completed the entire survey. This document contains the main results of this survey. The entire Chair Team thanks all the contributors for this useful feedback exercise! Take note that currently, we are working on how to improve the planning of the upcoming Autumn Agora Aachen 2008 so as to render it more effective and suitable for our present needs and demands. Dearest Network, It is with great pleasure to present you the AGENDA for the Spring Agora Ljubljana 2008. As you can see, this Agenda introduces two new CONCEPTS: 1. PROGRESS MEETINGS >> Very similar to the successful Network Affairs in an EBM, these Progress Meetings are a one session designed to gather the contribution of all Agora participants on specific themes of major importance/relevance to the entire association. These Progress Meetings aim at involving ALL the interested participants to the major discussions/themes within our association. Eventually, the primary aim is to engage further members in having a real say within the main workings of our association, thus (hopefully) bridging the gap between the local level and the European Level within AEGEE. 2. TRAINING MEETINGS >> These are sessions largely conducted by corporate partners of AEGEE as well as institutions across Europe that will provide a professional touch to our association and to the members. In fact, these sessions have the form of a short training session that aim at providing tools and know-how on various subjects of interest, not only for the well-being of the antennae but also for the prospective personal future of the members. Ultimately, the plan is to foster a strong generation of AEGEE members who are not solely trained within the NGO world of AEGEE but who have gained skills and knowledge that will help them develop further in their personal professional lives. More details on these concepts and on the other parts of the agenda will be following soon, so check this space! Dear Network, We invite all of you who are interested in giving a WORKSHOP at the forthcoming Agora in Ljubljana to submit the proposals. Your input is most needed in our statutory events, so we eagerly await your proposals. Note that your workshop needs to have direct relevance to the main Fields of Action of AEGEE-Europe. All Workshops will have a duration of approximately 2 hours. Please fill in and send the Official Application Form together with a small description of the Workshop for the Booklet and the Web page to headoffice@aegee.org AND chair@aegee.org The deadline for Workshop Applications is the 28th of March, 23:59 BXL. Dear all, By way of exception, the official agenda for Spring Agora Ljubljana ‘A Journey that Matters’ will be as from Wednesday 30th April 2008 (arrival day + registration of AEGEE-Europe) until Saturday 3rd May 2008 (evening with the announcement of election results) BUT participants are encouraged to stay until Sunday 4th May 2008 so as to make Sunday, the departure day for all of us. For the night between Saturday/Sunday, the gym will still be available for all of us : -) Deadline for ALL applications – 8th March 2008 Local Boards have until the 10th March 2008 within which to approve online their applications. IMPORTANT - Applying for the Agora does NOT automatically mean that the person is accepted because the list of accepted participants will be available in the middle of March. For Spring Agora Ljubljana, the total amount of places available is strictly 600places. As usual, for all your questions and queries, please refer directly to chairATaegee.org.
