Agenda Aachen Agora 2008Public access   Created: 17.09.2008 14:05:24
Dear Network,

It is a great pleasure to finally present you the Agenda for the Autumn Agora Aachen 2008.

Following the positive feedback received in the past statutory meetings, the Chair Team has thought well to further improve the items of the Agenda, in an effort to make our statutory meeting closer to our real needs as an association and as active European youths.

In fact, for this Agora you can find:

1. A Panel Discussion entitled ‘Visions for Europe 2010: Challenges Ahead’ having a number of illustrious personalities all gathered to discuss the challenges that Europe and the world are facing – at present, we are still hoping to make this a reality.

2. Training Sessions – the theme is Career Opportunities. For this session, information will be provided on careers opportunities within the European Institutions held by EPSO and on branding yourself in the international job market by Careers in Europe.

3. Progress Sessions – these are sessions for active members to discuss issues of importance across our Network. For Aachen, the themes selected are: Strategic Plan and Budget of AEGEE-Europe, Network Commission, Project Managership and AEGEE Alumni.

4. Key-note Speech of an illustrious international speaker

Of course, there are the Prytania as well as the Workshop Sessions.

AND since around 50% of the participants in Aachen will be at their first or second Agora, we highly invite them to join in the Language Courses, the Agora Speed-course and the AEGEE-Café International on Wednesday afternoon.

The agenda can be found on www.aegee.org/statutory (click on Agora Aachen, Chair Corner).

See you all in Aachen,
Alexianne + Wouter + Marino + Carleijn

Dear all,

It is important that all the visa-requiring participants when applying for the Agora should provide to the local organisers the following additional details:
- Full name, address, date of birth, passport number and passport expiry date
- A fax number (where this is possible as speeds procedure)
- Which consulate or embassy is responsible for the persons’ visa?
- Are you still a student? If yes, provide the field of studies and projected end of studies as well as the student ID Card Number.

(Note that: Students will be provided with a letter signed by our university's Rector asking to waive the visa fee, for non-students this is not possible but the local organisers will write the letter.)
These details can also be sent to: in[AT]agoraaachen2008.org
>> WITHOUT these details, NO visa invitations can be issued.

Please, in order to ensure that VISAS are obtained in time and we can all enjoy the Autumn Agora Aachen 2008 together, in agreement with the local organisers, the Chair Team has decided to start ACCEPTING the approved delegates before the deadline so that immediately, the visa arrangements can be made. This is already happening as we speak.
So, visa-requiring boards should approve the applications ASAP!

Thank you,
Chair Team
