If you are thinking of joining this EBM, prepare yourself for getting in touch with a different side of culture. Let’s go from CULTURE – seen as a word with an abstract meaning - to dis-cover the practical side of it! During our workshop you will be provided with equipment and useful tools you need for start-ing your own cultural events. We’ll share knowledge and “know-how” with you while you bring cultural enthusiasm and initiative spirit. Let’s find together what culture means in practice! Education of, or about Roma?	Pascal Kuyten & Juliane Drews	second	Roma are the most disadvantaged group in Europe. In order to integrate them in the society it is necessary to overcome the current ‘strategy’ of mainly financial support. This is more likely pushing Roma in the position of ‘social-benefit junkies’ who cannot help themselves. The only possibility to higher their chances of participation in the labour market as well as political sphere is due education. The way education traditionally is understood fails to inte-grate Roma or at least make them remain in schools. Two questions should be in the centre of the workshop: 1. What do Roma themselves wish from the educational system? 2. How a successful integration strategy should look like? To find answers the workshop will include the following elements: - exchange of knowledge - brainstorming about integrating strategies - discussion of interdependency of factors of denial of school-enrolment
EU 2017 – What is YOUR vision?	Julia Hoffman	first	EU 2017 – How will the European Union look in ten years time from now? Will internal reforms have taken place and a new treaty been established? Will Turkey have a perspective for joining? What is YOUR vision for the EU and Europe? This workshop will give you the platform to make YOUR opinion heard – What is on your mind? Where is Europe heading and where should it head? Starting from an analysis of the current status of the EU, we will discuss and develop possible future models for the EU. Let's discuss our ideas – 'coz it's OUR Europe we're shaping!
I’m human therefore I exist	Catalina Marinescu	second	I’m human therefore I have rights! What are our basic human rights? Do we know all of them? Do we have all of them, each of us? Ever thought that we take things for granted but never thought how did we come to have all the rights we have today? What guarantee do we have that all our rights are respected. Are all our rights important in the same way? Can I as an individual fight to protect human rights and make sure that more people are being guaranteed there basic human rights? Well let’s all find out together the answers to these questions and see if WE CAN HELP MAKE THIS WOLRD BETTER!
Online Membership System Meeting	Joost Rovers	first	Actually for the progress of the development it’s vital that we can have this workshop where the IT guys can discuss things we need to discuss. For maybe attracting new IT people and to make it easier to find it might be worth including this workshop in the overview. So I think it will be a good decision to accept this workshop although it’s not the traditional kind of work-shop. I also don’t think it will be conflicting with any other workshop there and I’m sure we need all those hours:).

Because perception is real-ity… And to make a good PR in AEGEE, to have interesting publications, we need to plan how to present things, we have to discuss how we’d like the others to perceive us, our projects, events. But discussing is not enough, we’ll also prepare THE newspaper that will conquer the hearts of the EBM participants! Interested in PR, in journalism, in writing, in publications, finally in fame ? This is the right place for you to come!
Polish Dance Course	Marek Wojtaszek	first	Participants will have a chance learn Polish representative dance. It was the first dance at beginning of ball. In present times it’s the first dance at ball at the end of secondary school. During workshop You will have chance to learn simple choreography. Also we will learn a simple salsa steps(tradicional Cuba dance).

We want to promote the idea of the EDL event and give last necessary guidelines to organisers of the EDL 2007. At the same time, we plan to start encouraging AEGEE locals to organise events promoting languages in the year 2007.
