BRAND | The logo itself

BRAND | The logo itself

So yes, there is a proposal to change the logo. Since its creation, AEGEE used 3 different logos. The last one is in use since the early nineties.
Since then, AEGEE changed a lot. Does the current logo still represent what we are and want to be? Will it help us to once again become the leading European student organisation in the future?

You can have a look at the presentation here:

One talented designer was so brave to create something beautiful. Here is the place to give feedback, but please do so in a civilised and respectful way.

The Logo itself is very nice, but not for AEGEE! Our current logo is fits much better!

That is what I call a consistent brand, long lasting, and created by a genius those days!

Yes, we did change a lot. But as the logo is based on the core values of AEGEE, the logo is still representing us till today. That is what I call a strong logo!

Being leading or not does not depend on your logo. It depends on having capable PR people, organising projects and event that do make a difference. Your events and projects should be ahead of others and general opinion, so your results will be new(s), and not representing the current general opinion. That will give you visibility, and make you leading. Not some redesign of a logo that does not represent the organisation anymore.[/b]

Lol, as if a logo can make us lead again... please let's stay serious. Let's make some real actions and make some press releases!

It would work better on a non-white background. At the moment, the white A gets lost in a huge sea of white surrounding the logo. Or maybe it could stay like this if the A was made smaller?

It also needs to mention AEGEE somewhere within the logo. With no text, it's cryptic to the point of being meaningless.

But agreeing with the posts above, why does it need to change at all? The existing logo is clear, attractive and has represented AEGEE for a very long time. Don't fix what isn't broken.

Even if it's a clear logo, it could be maybe updated with just a new font.... why not using the new font of the proposed logo? Isn't that an idea? Whom can make it?
