Let us provide you with a short travel guide so that you make the best of the short time you spend in the city. This is called <em>Hungarian language<\/em>. Say \u201cszia\u201d (meaning hello) to the country and start to search for the AGORA gym. Follow me.<\/p>\n<p>From the airport you have to take bus 200E. Get on a fancy blue bus and go until station K\u0151b\u00e1nya-Kispest which will look less fancy but do not worry, you will spend only some minutes there in the outskirts. Next you have to change to the subway direction \u00dajpest-K\u00f6zpont. After 4 stations you will be already really close to your temporary home. <em>N\u00e9pliget<\/em> is the station where you have to get off for the <em>gym<\/em> (called \u201c\u00c9p\u00edt\u0151k Stadion\u201d).<\/p>\n<h4>One day&#8217;s diary<\/h4>\n<div id=\"attachment_11099\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11099\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11099 \" title=\"Agora Budapest plenary hall\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/agora-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/agora-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/agora.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11099\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Agora plenary hall at Corvinus University of Budapest<\/p><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Listening to nice music we get up fresh in the morning and take the Agora bus to go to the plenary. You might notice that the river Danube divides the city into two sides: Buda and Pest. The <em>plenaries and prytania<\/em> will take place on the Pest side, near the Liberty Bridge, at <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uni-corvinus.hu\/\">Corvinus University of Budapest<\/a><\/em>. This is also the place where you will have your <em>meals<\/em>. If you got up too late and would like to reach the university by public transport, take the subway (direction \u00dajpest-K\u00f6zpont) until the stop <em>K\u00e1lvin t\u00e9r<\/em>. From here you can walk to Corvinus University, located on the coast of the Danube. If you look at the other side of the river, there you see Buda with the <em>Gell\u00e9rt Hill<\/em>. On top of it there is a girl lifting a palm leaf over her arms, that is our Liberty Statue. A nice point to look at if you get lost.<\/p>\n<h4>Free time before\/after plenaries<\/h4>\n<div id=\"attachment_11232\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/2012\/08\/31\/lets-agora-budapest\/citadella-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11232\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11232\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-11232 \" title=\"citadella\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/citadella2-300x128.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"144\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-11232\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">View from Citadella, top of Gell\u00e9rt Hill<\/p><\/div>\n<p>If whole day\u2019s democracy seems to be enough and you need a break \u00a0just walk across <em>Szabads\u00e1g h\u00edd (Freedom bridge)<\/em> which is one of Budapest\u2019s oldest bridges. Reaching Buda you can either climb up to the hill and visit the girl with the palm leaf: the surrounding is beautiful specially in darkness.<\/p>\n<p>From<em> Citadella<\/em> you can see the whole city glittering in night lights, the view from the top of the hill is breathtaking. Along with the Buda castle the panorama became part of UNESCO\u2019s world heritage.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Is your energy level too low? In this case your solution\u2019s name is <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gellertbath.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gell\u00e9rt thermal bath<\/a><\/em>. Budapest is the only capital in the world with medical thermal baths, to experience one of them located even close to the plenaries is of high recommendation. After refreshment you will have enough power again to get back to the assembly with new thoughts and clear mind.<\/p>\n<p>In the mornings if you still feel hungry after Agora breakfast you can go to the <em>V\u00e1s\u00e1rcsarnok (Central Market Hall)<\/em> situated right next to the university. It is the largest indoor market in the city that offers a huge variety of stalls on three floors. You can easily notice the building for the huge queue of elderly people with big bags full of paprika, onion, etc. Grab a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/T%C3%BAr%C3%B3_Rudi\" target=\"_blank\">t\u00far\u00f3 rudi<\/a> or a <a href=\"http:\/\/theeccentriccook.blogspot.hu\/2011\/09\/hungarian-kakaos-csiga-chocolate-rolls.html\" target=\"_blank\">kaka\u00f3s csiga<\/a> (it is a kind of pastry filled with chocolate cream &#8211; an ideal breakfast type for those with sweet taste) and start the day in the neighbour building.<\/p>\n<h4>Budapest nightlife<\/h4>\n<div id=\"attachment_11102\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11102\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11102\" title=\"Agora Budapest\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/agora-bp-logo-300x162.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/agora-bp-logo-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/agora-bp-logo.jpg 549w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11102\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Agora Budapest will take place between 31st October and 4th November<\/p><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After the whole day of excitements it\u2019s time to discover another side of the Hungarian capital, and throw yourself into the city\u2019s buzzing nightlife. The city offers you a wide range of bars and clubs to choose from. In the next paragraphs, we\u2019ll be presenting some of these, but we encourage you to head to the city center and discover more.<\/p>\n<h5>Pubs<\/h5>\n<div id=\"attachment_11235\" style=\"width: 235px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/2012\/08\/31\/lets-agora-budapest\/instant\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11235\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11235\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11235 \" title=\"Instant\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/instant-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/instant-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/instant.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-11235\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The creepy rabbits from Instant<\/p><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Budapest is well-known for its ruin pubs that are open every day, making them a possible choice even for less busy nights, such as on Sundays or Mondays. The rooms of these pubs are filled with old furniture where you can sit down for a chat while having a drink. Make sure to try Hungarian beer or a spritzer made of Hungarian wine and soda for 1,5-2 euros. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.szimpla.hu\/budapest\/home\">Szimpla Kert<\/a> is one of the biggest and most well-known ruin pubs in the city, located in Kazinczy Street, in the heart of the city. Other pubs worth visiting \u00a0include <a href=\"http:\/\/instant.co.hu\/en\">Instant<\/a> (Nagymez\u0151 Street), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/barobudapest\">Bar O<\/a> (\u00d3 Street), and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fogashaz.hu\/\">Fogas h\u00e1z<\/a> (Ak\u00e1cfa Street).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If you\u2019re looking for more places to grab a drink with your friends, head to De\u00e1k Ferenc square and enjoy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/akvariumklub\">Akv\u00e1rium Klub<\/a>, or walk a bit more and visit Sz\u00f3da, in Wessel\u00e9nyi Street.<\/p>\n<h5>Clubs<\/h5>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Catching up with friends, check. Drinks, check. Now it\u2019s time to hit the dancefloor! You can visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morrisons.hu\/morrisons_music_pub2\/\">Morrison\u2019s Music Pub 2<\/a>, a place frequented mostly by students, that has several halls, each of them with a different style of music, including a room for karaoke. The castle is the most historic district of the city with various monuments such as the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/visitbudapest.travel\/guide\/budapest-attractions\/fishermens-bastion\/\">Hal\u00e1szb\u00e1stya<\/a> (Fisherman\u2019s bastion)<\/em>. The bastion\u2019s seven towers symbolize the seven tribes that settled in the Carpathian Basin in 896. In this central point of the castle you will be provided with another panoramic possibility. Look down and on the opposite side you will face the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hungarian_Parliament_Building\"><em>House of Parliament<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11243\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/2012\/08\/31\/lets-agora-budapest\/bazilika-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11243\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11243\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11243\" title=\"Bazilika\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bazilika1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bazilika1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.zeus.aegee.org\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bazilika1-1024x682.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-11243\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Szent Istv\u00e1n Bazilika in the city centre<\/p><\/div>\n<p><em>Szent Istv\u00e1n Bazilika (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.budapest-tourist-guide.com\/st-stephen-s-basilica.html\">Basilica of St. Stephen<\/a>)<\/em>. Take a trip to the top of the dome, which can be reached by lift or by taking the 146 steps. The top offers another nice view to the city. In the church itself you can have a look at the right hand of our first king, St. Stephen.
