A girl from Ufa, called Alsu, was <\/span><\/span> in the USA last summer, where she met very nice pe<\/span>ople from Poland. One of them, Pawel Krawczyk, told her about AEGEE. “I always a have purpose of my life: to learn a foreign language, to communicate with interesting people. I started to think about opening AEGEE-Ufa. While I was gather documents, my friends supported me and gave a lot of advises. I hope that we will be a good antenna<\/span>,” says Alsu.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/a><\/span>Where is Ufa?<\/span>
<\/span>Located on the western slopes of the Ural Mountains, Ufa<\/a> is an <\/span>industrial city in which mining and electrical equipment, refined petroleum, forest products, chemicals, synthetic rubber, and processed foods are manufactured. Founded in 1574 as a fortress, it became the first Russian town in the area called Bashkiria in 1586. The magnificent natural scenery of Ufa and its surroundings depends on the city’s location in the forest and steppe zone and on the nearness of big rivers. It is not surprising, therefore, that <\/span>the beauty of the land was noticed by people of the ancient past.<\/span><\/a>
<\/span>What about the university?<\/span>
