Open Call Equal Rights Working Group Member

Are you passionate about Equal Rights? Do you want to empower the whole Network to organise activities and events related to this Focus Area? Do you work well in a team? Then you are the person we are looking for!

Unfortunately, on of the Working Group members had to quit. Therefore, we are looking for a new member to help us achieve our goals?

What is a Working Group?

The Working Group makes sure that the Action Agenda for the focus area of Equal Rights gets implemented. This means organizing activities on its own (e.g. conferences, trainings, online actions), promoting the focus area (via facebook, newsletter, and through workshops at statutory events and NWMs) and supporting locals in organizing activities related to the focus area (e.g. providing ideas for content).

Moreover, the coordinator and the policy officer are also in charge of following policy developments in Europe related to this focus area and represent AEGEE-Europe externally in this field. This means writing statements in particular occasions, drafting a policy paper/position paper (if needed), attending events (if possible).

To know more about the Working Groups, see the section “Working Group Rules” in the CIA.

Activity Plan

Here you can find the Activity Plan of the Equal Rights Working Group 2018/2019.

The Activity Plan was drafted during the month of August, finalised during a live meeting before Agora Istanbul, and approved by the Agora. Therefore, the whole working group needs to follow this document.

Because we already drafted our Activity Plan and have already divided most of the tasks. So we are especially looking for people that are interested in taking over these tasks. Tasks will be partly redistributed, but keep these in mind as the tasks that we still need to find someone for. The tasks are:

❤️ setting up Equal Antenna of the Month

💛 Yvote conference on Social Inclusion with AEGEE-Tartu

💚 Inclusive Mobility Alliance

💙 Training

💜 Fundraising

💟 Assisting with project management
