AEGEE / European Students’ Forum is looking for a IT Officer to work together with us in our headoffice in Brussels by taking a leading role in the development of the new online membership system (OMS / MyAEGEE). We are looking for a project manager who would be working with the pool of developers and a steering committee composed of experienced AEGEE members.

AEGEE is one of Europe’s biggest interdisciplinary student organisations. As a non-governmental, politically independent, and non-profit organisation AEGEE is open to students and young people from all faculties and disciplines. Founded in 1985 in Paris, today AEGEE has grown to a Network of 13000 friends, present in 200 cities in 40 countries all over Europe. AEGEE puts the idea of a unified Europe into practice. Operating without a national level, AEGEE brings 13000 students from 40 different countries directly in touch with each other.

Main responsibilities:

  • MyAEGEE / OMS development
  • Constant communication with the developers team
  • Ensuring the continuous development of the project according to the timeline
  • Ensuring meeting the milestone development objectives (members module, events module)
  • Support the development of the MyAEGEE framework
  • Promotion of the MyAEGEE team in AEGEE, recruitment of team members
  • Support the headoffice in other IT related tasks upon request (website, platforms)

Expected qualifications, knowledge and attitudes:

  • Experience with project management with and in an international team
  • Experience in the field of IT – full portfolio is welcome
  • Basic knowledge on the coding languages ( php, lavarel or node.js)
  • Speaking the IT language – and able to explain basic mechanisms
  • Openness to work in a fast-paced and flexible NGO environment
  • Interest in the work of an international youth NGO
  • Proactivity, ability to work independently and learning mindset
