OPEN CALL: Gender Equality Interest Group moderator

Dear Network,

Are you interested in gender equality? Would you like to foster discussion about the state of gender equality inside AEGEE and in society in general? Do you believe in the importance of raising awareness about gender rights? Then this is the open call for you!

The Gender Equality Interest Group is looking for one or two new moderators.

What is the role of a moderator?

  • Moderate the Facebook group, make sure that its rules are respected, foster a constructive discussion (core responsibility)
  • Present a brief activity report every two months to the CD appointed person.
  • Present an activity report at every Agora.
  • Optionally: initiate projects, positions or other activities

For example:

  • Launch an online campaign
  • Draft position papers and statements, in cooperation with the CD appointed person
  • Prepare and deliver workshops at the local level
  • Organise an action week on gender equality
  • Participate in international action days and campaigns

… and everything else you can think about!

The moderator will discuss his/her plans with the CD appointed person and receive support from CD side. The moderator can also recruit a taskforce to help him/her to realise those activities.

The position of Interest Group moderator is a very flexible one! It has very few core responsibilities and it gives you space and liberty to develop your own ideas and initiatives.
