Dear network,

It’s our pleasure to inform you that the applications for the first SMASH training are open! SMASH stands for Structural Measures Against Sexual Harassment, and it’s a project dedicated to train young people on how to be Safe Persons and tackle sexual harassment in youth contexts. You can find more information about the project here.

The first SMASH training will take place from the 9th till the 14th of April (9th is arrival day, and 14th departure day) in Tbilisi, Georgia, organised by AEGEE-Tbilisi in cooperation with AEGEE-Europe.

The event is fully funded, which means everything is included and there is no fee! Besides, your travelling expenses will be reimbursed up to 150 euro*.

During this training, you’ll learn what sexual harassment is and how to prevent, detect and react to it, as well as how to implement it in your local. Besides, you’ll become a multiplier, learning how to deliver workshops on this topic and facilitate discussions about it. And what is a “multiplier” you ask? The training is designed to impact further than the participants involved: these participants, you, will take what they learned to their antennas along with the guidelines created during it, and will make these antennas pioneers in AEGEE in the fight against sexual harassment. So not only do you have a chance to participate in the training, you also would have a chance to implement the content and take action!

What is included?
– Accommodation in a hostel
– 3 meals per day
– Coffee breaks
– Training materials
– Amazing content and trainers
– City tour of Tbilisi
– Lots of fun and learning!

Apply here until the 17th of February, 23:59 CET. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate and contact us at safe.person@aegee.eu.

*we may be able to reimburse higher amounts if needed, the minimum ensured for now is 150 euro per participant for traveling costs
