AEGEE / European Students’ Forum is looking for a Project Officer to work together with us in our headoffice in Brussels. AEGEE membership is not a requirement to apply for the position.

AEGEE is one of Europe’s biggest interdisciplinary student organisations. As a non-governmental, politically independent, and non-profit organisation, we are open to students and young people from all faculties and disciplines. Founded in 1985 in Paris, today AEGEE has grown to a Network of 13000 friends, present in 200 cities in 40 countries all over Europe. AEGEE puts the idea of a unified Europe into practice. Operating without a national level, it brings 13000 students from 40 different countries directly in touch with each other.

We are looking for a young professional to work with us in several ongoing Erasmus+ projects in the field of social inclusion, gender equality and youth entrepreneurship.


Main responsibilities:

  • Carry out the implementation of different Erasmus+ Key Action 2 projects (GENDERS, DIVE and CoopStarters 2.0)
  • Management and supervision of the organization of the activities linked to the projects carried out by AEGEE-Europe
  • Provide the general content and pro-active support for the activities to be fulfilled by AEGEE-Europe in 2018 and 2019
  • Arranging documentation for the reporting of all the activities and deliverables for AEGEE-Europe
  • General Project management (overview, communications, documentation etc.)
  • Organisation of meetings, trainings, seminars (logistics, content)
  • Communication and cooperation with partners (other NGOs, European institutions)
  • Support the development of tools and resources
  • Mapping cooperations AEGEE can benefit from through the project
  • Organise and create dissemination events and activities in our network
  • Analyse possibilities of cooperation with other organizations to take concrete steps about the topic in AEGEE
  • Research on the current status, existing initiatives and educational tools of gender mainstreaming and youth entrepreneurship


The work in an NGO team requires sometimes other tasks:

  • General administrative work
  • Support in the daily work of the headoffice


Expected qualifications, knowledge and attitudes:

  • Extensive experience in Project Management
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the Erasmus+ programme (mainly KA2)
  • Engagement in a youth NGO or other NGO at the national and/or European levels
  • Research skills
  • Interest, knowledge and/or experience working in gender mainstreaming and equality
  • Intercultural teamwork mindset
  • Openness to work in a fast-paced and flexible NGO environment
  • Interest in the work of an international youth NGO
  • Proactivity, ability to work independently and learning mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an asset
  • English C1 and French is an asset
  • Basic office IT skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Powerpoint skills, online collaborative tools (gdrive, Skype)
  • Willingness to travel internationally from time to time
  • Non-Formal education experience is an asset
