Enjoy the Dutch wintertime

As we already know, the end of the world is near. But if you are afraid that you haven’t lived enough, AEGEE- Leiden has a master plan to help you to enjoy your last (but not the least) New Year’s party!
If you are ready to spend the most amazing winter days in the typical Dutch New Year’s atmosphere, this event is made just for you.
Leiden is an authentic Dutch city with a rich tradition of knowledge, science, culture but also student life. It’s a real student city, full of young, interesting people, always ready to have fun. So, what’s the fun in the Dutch wintertime?

You can learn how to ice skate, you can enjoy sightseeing and beautiful landscapes, you can drink warm chocolate milk with tasty cookies called “stroopwafels” and enjoy the taste of the famous Dutch beer. But that’s not all. Participants will have a chance to visit Amsterdam, “the sin city” and for sure the most amazing city in the whole world, The Hague – the Royal capital of the Low Lands and Rotterdam, a lovely urban city, which was completely destroyed during the WWII and then rebuild again and that’s actually the main reason why Rotterdam today is the most modern city in the Netherlands. This experience is not to be missed. So, straight towards the Lowlands and hope that you’ll meet Sinterklaas on your way with his bag full of presents! And in the end, if you want to surprise your new Dutch friends, this is how you should wish them a happy New Year – “Gelukkig Nieuwjaar allemaal!”
Let’s hope the world will not end because we need more events like this one.
