SU Story: AEGEEans, Y U No Feel Transylvania?

Two weeks to discover the heart and soul of Transylvania, with great organisers and participants, a lot of parties and AEGEE spirit? Too short!

We started our awesome adventure in the beautiful city of Cluj-Napoca, a historical city and an old fort, the cultural capital of Transylvania. Almost all of us met at the welcome party and began to know each other better. We spent three days in Cluj-Napoca, visiting and exploring the city. City tour, treasure hunt, hiking around the city, discovering the Turda Salt Mine, always accompanied by our unforgettable war scream: «AEGEE people, come on, faster please!».

Afterwards, we left for the Carpathian Mountains, without forgetting to visit Sighişoara, a little medieval city full of charm. In the mountains, we could enjoy the breathtaking nature, with its lakes, forests, and even Mud Volcanoes, probably the funniest volcanoes in the world! And, most of all, a crazy – and cultural – European Night!

Three days and another departure, for Braşov city, where we were scared in Dracula’s Castle, but amazed by the Peleş Castle and the Seven Stairs Waterfall.

We finally reached our last destination in Romania, Sibiu, with its museums, multicultural workshops, and welcoming fountains, before going back to Cluj-Napoca for the last night of the TSU. A lot of laughter, tears, hugs and goodbyes for this last evening.

We spent two amazing weeks hiking and partying hard, but we all know that the TSU was so much more: a chance to discover a little bit more about another country, another culture, new people, and, last but not least, to learn a little bit more about ourselves.

A huge thank you to all organisers and participants, and, as our international Publio said, “every end is a new beginning, the adventure continues!”.
