11 Players. 1 Coach. Different roles and nationalities. Playing in different areas of the “field” (Europe!). Different skills and backgrounds. A lot of trainings, tactics and strategies… No, I’m not talking about football, I’m talking about the newly branded NetCom Team!
Let us introduce our magic team.
#1 Olga Iatsyna (AEGEE-Dnipropetrovsk), *netcom-olga@aegee.org*. Our Speaker, captain, “goalkeeper” and our guide in this term of “ no dictatorship, but angry love and peaceful revolution” (cit.). She likes to meet challenges in life, communicating with people, travelling, buying new shoes, studying maps of other countries, speaking foreign languages, explaining people how to find their way in a city she does not even live in, and saying proudly “I’m member of AEGEE”. I’m sure this term, the NetCom will find in her a good leader and of course she will save us in the hardest matches we are going to play in the North-Eastern part of our lovely Network!
#2 Koen Berghuis (AEGEE-Utrecht), *netcom-koen@aegee.org*. Our newly elected Vice Speaker, Koen – experienced and always full of advice, will be the “center back”. This term, he will give his best not just on the Dutch fields, but also in our Northern region, taking care of really important parts of the Network such as the Baltic area. Koen is an idealistic, AEGEE-addicted Dutch who never sleeps and is constantly on the road in search for new adventures. As Netcommie, he would like to share his energy and AEGEE-spirit, and work together with this awesome NetCom team on the task of improving our great Network! Our defense is stronger with him.
#3 Beata Matuszka (AEGEE-Budapest), *netcom-beata@aegee.org*. She is our official Duracell bunny who adores travelling, pursuing sports, meeting new people and splash into different cultures. With AEGEE, she tries to realise her dream of changing Europe. Beata will make her moves on the “back-right side” (UK), but never leaving her lovely region of provenance, namely Hungarian, Austrian and Slovakian locals.
#4 Rebekka Höing (AEGEE-Hamburg), *netcom-rebekka@aegee.org*. Our defense can count on a newly acquired “center back” who will take care of large parts of Germany and Scandinavia with strength and lots of German spirit. Rebekka is a physicist (She works at CERN), loves football, classic literature, good music, and travelling Europe in night trains. She is sure that this busy year will be exciting for her.
#5 Marek Pezda (AEGEE-Katowice), *netcom-marek@aegee.org*. Strong and determined, he forms our “back-left side” – Marek. The NetCom has asked him to serve and protect Polish locals and he answered “present”! Now it’s time to run and let the Polish game begin!
#6 Pavel Zbornik (AEGEE-Praha), *netcom-pavel@aegee.org*. Our “central midfielder”, Pavel, controller of the Czech and southern Germany locals (and what about the beers, Pavel?), is new on the team since Agora-Skopje. He promises to keep the team connected and organized. His ideas and his motto “impossible is nothing” will be an inspiration for his hard work and for the whole team. Keep it up, Pavel!
#7 Iulia Laura Stefan (AEGEE-Bucureşti), *netcom-iulia@aegee.org*. As “left winger” she is playing in the fields of Romania-Greece-Bulgaria and Moldova. Our tiny and cute, colourful, happy all the time, rash and impulsive sometimes, has been elected at Agora Skopje. Iulia will do her best to run for the NetCom and achieve the best for the NetCom game (which happens 99% of the time).
#8 Marijana Roscic (AEGEE-Zadar), *netcom-marijana@aegee.org*. Marijana is our trusted and experienced “midfielder” (the Balkan region is her area). She’s the Spiritus Movens of our team, and yes, she is taking care of us with a bunch of vitamin C (lemons are her favorite). Her motto is: Stop talking, get working! She solemnly promised to serve the Network, protect it and kick locals’ a**** to have their active and full cooperation!
#9 Matteo Scarpa (AEGEE-Salerno), *netcom-matteo@aegee.org*. At the Agora Skopje he was selected as our “striker”; he will be the author of the Italian Job, caring for his million locals in the Italian and Maltese lands. The team will support him to strike as much as he can and with these fantastic team mates he will surely manage to help the team to win a lot of competitions around Europe.
#10 Luis Alvarado Martínez (AEGEE-Las Palmas), *netcom-luis@aegee.org*. Fantasy to the power with our “right winger” (Spain-Portugal-France are his fields). Coming from paradise (Las-Palmas, yeah!), our team will have the magic touch with Luis. He is an idealist, dreamer, active and ambitious guy who likes to seize the opportunities: the opportunity to experience, travel, learn, work on personal self-development and skills, grow and meet awesome people around Europe. That’s why he chose AEGEE and the NetCom!
#11 Anıl Baysal (AEGEE-Istanbul), *netcom-anil@aegee.org*. Anil, already in the team since the previous term, is our “secondary striker” for the Turkish area. His travels, reading and studies will not affect his game negatively; as always he’ll be concentrated on scoring as much as possible for the Turkish antennae and the whole Network.
Coach. Jüri Kirpu (Internal Relations Director) *internal.relations@aegee.org*. Jüri – our boss, commander and supervisor. He is from Tallinn, a Northern, cold-blooded soul and a silent watcher – these are the first traits of his personality people see. He gives the experience needed and asks the whole team for great efforts and sacrifices. At the end, we are sure that his valuable work will be well compensated by the results obtained.
So, the NetCom Team has already started their work on the fields of Europe. We are asking for endless support, collaboration, and your endless passion for AEGEE. And we are sure we can achieve great results and already have the capacities and resources in the Network that we are all striving for.
