The AEGEE Fair turns into a festival!

At the moment of writing, the Agora Enschede Committee is busy working at the office to arrange all the final details for the Agora. It is such a big event that it is hard not to forget some things and get a hold of the big picture. Organising an Agora is an unbelievable cool and tiring challenge.

The opening festival

On the wall of the office is a big map attached with the campus terrain that is used for the AEGEE Fair. This year, the AGEE Fair will be different from other Agorae because it might turn out to be more similar to an AEGEE festival. During the 2nd of May from 10:00 until 13:30, the Agora participants willl be able to meet our partners, get acknowledged with all the AEGEE projects and have some fun time with an inflatable castle, good food and a real life Pacman game! In addition, there will be a chill area at the only real AEGEE-Enschede pavilion.

On the terrain, there will be more than 50 bodies and organisations present. People will get the opportunity to get to know awesome studies abroad, great local companies and European institutions. In addition there will be information about future AEGEE events, the Working Groups of AEGEE and other great AEGEE projects.

The big AEGEE picture and a world record

During the Fair, AEGEE-Enschede will make a picture of all the Agora participants close to the fair terrain. The picture will be taken in the shape of the AEGEE logo and it will be a great picture to keep the great memories of the Agora alive. In addition, AEGEE-Enschede will try to break a Guiness world record: the most people spooning at the same place, and they hope that the Agora participants will help them to break this record!

The green Agora

As a lot of people might know already, this Agora is aiming to be the most sustainable Agora till now. The organisation will therefore give a tree to the university so that a real Agora Enschede tree can be planted. This tree will symbolise the effort that AEGEE should put into creating a sustainable world and making up for all the pollution that is caused by organising an event like the Agora.

There is a big team working for the opening festival for the Agora and an even bigger team working on the whole Agora, but all these members are fully aware that AEGEEans are much curious about what will happen soon in Enschede and this article will definitely not be the last information about the AEGEE fair before AEGEEans from all over hit Enschede next month!
