The Comité Directeur is ready for another term

The AEGEEan is happy to announce exclusively that all the members of the current Comité Directeur (CD) has decided to present candidatures aiming to get another term in the new CD house in Brussels.

There has been a lot of discussion of crisis lately since it has appeared difficult to find people to submit candidatures for different positions. This was seen in Agora Budapest and the long time with no submitted candidatures for Agora Rhein-Neckar created talks across the Network about what would happen if nobody submitted candidatures for important positions such as the Comité Directeur.

Number of submitted candidatures as of March 5th 2013 – The possibility of submitting candidatures closes March 6th at 23.59 CET

It is therefore delightful news that on the last day of candidatures the numbers are no longer in zero and mysterious numbers informs the Network that there are indeed  motivated members who have decided to commit for an active 2013 on the European Level of AEGEE.

There was a lot of talks in the EBM whether or not the current Comité Directeur would like to continue or not. Fresh from a highly motivating EBM in Valletta Luis Alvarado Martinez, Anna Gots, Lucille Rieux, Miguel Gallardo Albajar, Beata Matuszka, Pavel Zbornik, and Kathrin Renner have all decided to re-candidate.  They have all decided to submit candidatures in the hope of continuing work in this strong  and motivated team in Brussels. Only time will tell who else will submit candidatures, we all know how AEGEE people love waiting until the last minute so it is likely that the number of candidatures will increase up until midnight ensuring us that there are lots of AEGEE members motivated to work voluntarily for AEGEE.

The AEGEEan would like to apologize about the situation it has caused in the Network and would like to stress that it is an independent magazine that does not solely promote the Comité Directeur. This news was intended to be delightfull news about how there indeed are people in our organisation that are motivated to do hard work for AEGEE in Brussels. The article had no intention to solely promote the candidatures put forward by the members mentioned and as mentioned about The AEGEEan hopes to see that the number of candidatures will continue increasing throughout the day.
